ALLEN DAY OF SERVICE

Today all of the wards (congregations) in Allen, TX took park in a multi-location service project. Dave was asked to be a team captain for the project cleaning the greenbelt and the creek that runs between Ford Middle School and Vaughan Elementary School. We could not believe all of the junk that we found in the river bed. Just our group alone found a couple of tires, a bike, a parks and recreation car door and lots and lots of trash. We all worked hard and even the kids did a great job helping out. The only setback was that Dave thought that it would be OK to wear shorts and between the brush and the great job he did slipping and sliding on a cement embankment his legs were scraped up at the end of the day!

HEY SANTA!

After we watch the Polar Express parade and had our gourmet dinner at the Willow Bend Mall food court we went to see Santa. The theme was once again "The Polar Express" and it was fun and very well done. The staff was great and they were giving away fun gift bags for all of us! The kids got balloon animals too. We looked at life size snow globes of scenes from "The Polar Express". We then walked through the engine room of the train and out to a life size snow globe wit us in it. Plus, it was snowing inside! Last but not least the kids got to see Santa Claus! He was awesome and spent a lot of time with the kids as they told him what they wanted for Christmas. It was a fun and memorable event and we are glad that we went!

THE POLAR EXPRESS

On Friday we went to the Willow Bend Mall in Plano, TX to see the Polar Express and Santa Claus! The conductor was the MC for the event and we saw dancers, jugglers, guys on uni bikes and others others in a fun filled parade! Afterward we had a gourmet dinner at the food court and then we saw Santa!
